Hello,

Make sure to complete your profile as accurately as possible. This is the information that will appear in the directory. Regularly ensure that your contact information is up to date and if possible add a description of your practice’s area of specialization (patients, techniques, conditions, etc.) so that your practice is identified by the type of patients you provide care to. Members are responsible for the accuracy of their entries in the practitioner directory. ICAK-Canada reserves the right to remove any posting for which the subscription has expired and not renewed or that does not respect the truth or the field of competence related to the practitioner’s title. The acronym DIBAK stands for Diplomate of the International Board of professional applied kinesiology. The DIBAK title is granted by the International College of professional applied kinesiology to any member who has met the various selection criteria as well as the evaluation requirements.
1. Skills required to take the exam
2. Description of the DIBAK exam
According to the established administrative laws of the International College of professional applied kinesiology (ICAK), the International Board of Examiners (IBE) is responsible for each of the evaluations of candidates for the ICAK Diplomate.
Following the successful completion of each part of the evaluation, the IBE must confer the title of DIBAK on the candidate.
“The candidate must obtain a review of each article by the literature committee of his local chapter, who will forward approved articles to the Corresponding Secretary of the IBE at least 90 days before the examination. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure deadlines are met.” See ibe-icak.org for more details.
In order to obtain review and approval by ICAK-Canada, the candidate must send their articles to the ICAK-Canada Scientific Review Committee at least 180 days before the review date. Each submitted paper is reviewed by 3 members of the review committee before being approved. Considering the quality of the article, it can either be 1) accepted, 2) accepted with minor corrections or 3) refused because it requires too many corrections. Here is the analysis grid used by the review committee. In the event that the author does not respect 3 or more criteria of the analysis grid, the article will be refused and returned to the author without comments. It will be the responsibility of the author to identify the criteria not respected, make the modifications and return a compliant article at least 150 days before the examination date. Assuming that the same article does not respect 3 or more criteria of the analysis grid a second time, the refusal of the article will be final and this article can no longer be presented by the candidate.
Additionally, all approved articles will be published in the annual ICAK-Canada Digital Research Journal. Articles must therefore respect the publication criteria of the journal, particularly for layout.Once the articles have received approval from the committee, the candidate will be required to sign the release form for each article. Subsequently, the Scientific Director of ICAK-Canada will transmit the candidate’s approved articles to the Secretary of the IBE. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that they receive approval for their papers before the deadline (90 days before their exam) and to fulfill the other criteria in order to obtain permission to sit for the DIBAK exams. .
